Comic Strip Photographs

This assignment is designed to:
• Use the camera and images to tell a story.
• Demonstrate your effective use of the digital camera and photo techniques previously covered in class.
• Use PhotoShop or Comic Life to manipulate images and construct your well planned out story.
• Produce prints of your story and staple it together into a mini comic strip.

Create a short comic. Use a camera and take 40 or more photos for your personal comicstrip story. Use Photoshop or ComicLife to design the comicstrip including balloon callouts and an interesting layout.

After cropping and adjusting the levels on your photos, you can make the scenes look more like drawings by using the Filters in PhotoShop. Try different filters for different effects. There are certain filters that will make your photo look more like drawings.

You can also use the drawing tools in PhotoShop to add things to the scene to make it look more like an original comic.
If using Photoshop, add the text bubbles by using the Custom Shape Tool, there is a set of Custom Tools called TalkBubbles.
