Triple Layered Animated Backgrounds

Below are Flash triple layered animated backgrounds that students create for their group cartoon project. The technique is very common in cartoons to create the illusion of depth. This common practice involves content on different layers. As the creator, you should have atleast three different layers - foreground, middle ground, and background. Your fourth layer should be the nested animated fly, swim, or drive symbol. That layer should be in between two others to give depth by overlapping parts of your scene. The movement direction is up to you. Plan ahead and make this assignment part of your future group cartoon.

Criteria

All content should be original and show effort.
Scene should have multiple layers (3+) of a foreground, middle ground, and background
All backgrounds should be larger than your stage so you can tween them into the stage.
Each background layer should tween at different speeds to create the illusion of depth and smooth motion.
Internal animation (from "Fly, Swim, or Drive") should smoothly tween across the stage in some manner.

Assignment should be saved to the Z:drive in the appropriate folder. You should save your final version as a .fla and .swf.

Save to period folder, "Scene" folder and to your portfolio in the "Finished" folder after finishing.
