Pitch it!

Just because you have skills doesn't mean you can get the gig, land the job, or create something impressively outstanding. Skills are only one specific part of the equation of success. An important part of the formula of success is often originality. You need creativity to stand out. Don't underestimate creativity. You will find that often life and success relate directly to your creative ideas and how you express them.

Think about it seriously for a few seconds. Some examples of uniquely creative ideas include the following:

Writer's blogs
Poet's poems
Inventor's ideas
Author's writings
Architect's blue prints
Graphic designer's layouts
Advertiser's advertisments
Movie director's concepts
Muscian's lyrics & rhythms
Interior Designer's plans
Cartoonist's characters

Write a paragraph(s) to present to the class about your idea(s) for a multimedia group video project.
You have the opportunity to be a director during this project. Present your ideas to the class to recruit peers to participate.
If you like another student's pitch and want to work with them you are allowed to if they need you and your skills.
Some ideas may only need a few people to help while another's ideas may require a dozen or more.

If you want a large film crew your idea must consist of enough work for most students, most of the time.
This is your time to get recognized for your brilliant ideas through a video production that can be viewed by the whole world.

We will submit the best films to various festivals such as the AFF, SXSW, AISD Film Festival.

For homework you are responsible for preparing your pitch (verbal and visuals). Type your pitch or do this handout.
