Independent Projects in Animation II


For Independent Projects in Animation II you have the opportunity to come up with your own original projects from scratch. You should plan it out thoroughly so it fits within the timeframe, your abilities, but it's challenging and you're learning as you go. Your goal is to finish it completely before the deadline (usually 8-12 days) which means you will need to plan every detail. EVERY Independent production should include all of the following criteria:

1. Animated Title & Credits
2. Animation(s) with clear purpose or message (always using the principles)
3. Audio
4. Optimized for the Internet
5. Posted to our class network site (Ning) & to your online portfolio

If you do not have a sufficient plan, good idea(s), or have been rejected by Mr. Nourse choose a project below.

Animated Story using Flash tools
Cartoon Series
Short Animated Story using Google images
Keyframed progressive painting like Speed painting in Photoshop
Create a unique character(s) using symbols. Animate it Standing up and waving a sign in a short story.
Create character & a Walkcycle
4 legged walkcycle
Create characters & Lipsyncing PA
Use Bone tool for characters walking, running, jumping, or lifting
Buttons
Rotoscoping
Website with animated content such as swfs & gif

Create a short film, tv, or news series with effects
Public Announcement with effects
Emulate a movie scene, trailer, or show intro
